The light side of life, the dark side of life and the afterside of life

This Saturday I went to Santa Barbara to see a play that one of my little sisters was in. It was called, "On the Island." It was rather impressive. There were 40+ people in the play so several of the scene were overflowing with dozens of choriegraphed dancers and harmonized singers. The entire play was a non-stop song and dance with no dialog and little narration; a very entertaining concept. Congratulations, Lauren, on another play well done! I look forward to seeing you in your next play in 2 weeks. If I can get the time off from work, at the end of the quarter, I should spent a few days in Santa Barbara. I don't get to see my sisters often enough.

On the way back from Santa Barbara I encountered a driver just like me. He likes to maintain at least 80mph, passes on the left, signals everytime, makes smooth lane changes and likes to play games with drivers just like himself. I met him almost as soon as I entered the freeway back home and we played for the next 80 miles. First, I followed him, then he would slow down so I could pass and he would follow me. We weren't racing, just watching each other's back. We would maintain 80 for most of the time, but we always stayed to together at a safe distance apart. There was a third one who came to play for about 30 miles or so. All three of us would be going the same speed in formation while we were going through the hills. So much fun.

When I returned, I decided to visit Kelvin, who was working as a security guard at the Best Buy. Tonight, he had some new friends over (at least new to me). When I arrived, they were playing with an empty toshiba box. They were trying to cut it in half with a bullwhip and throwing knives. This was the typical goings on for a night at Best Buy, so Kelvin and I talked and got caught up with each other's lives. I tried the bullwhip a few times and was able to make cool snapping sounds, but I didn't cut the box (neither did anyone else though). Once I have the time off from work and school and I had visited my family, I'll become a vampire again and hang out with the guards again even if it's only for a few days.

My great grandama Brady died last week and her funeral is today (Monday). Please say a prayer for her. I love you grandma, I'm praying for your safe journey to heaven.
